PRODUCTION:

VENUE: WINSTON
CHURCHILL THEATRE, RUISLIP

HARVEY KESSELMAN
I
A truly delightful Charity Hope Valentine showed excellent characterisation
and revelled in her part.
She was well supported by "the girls", especially Nicky and Helene.
The opening scene worked well, with the crowd reacting to what was happening
to Charity with amusing indifference.
Herman sang very enjoyably during "I Love to Cry at Weddings" with able
assistance from Carmen, Rosie and Nicky.
Oscar Lindquist was a likeable, shy character and his scenes with Charity
were nicely played, especially in the elevator. "The Rhythm of Life" was
a particular highlight of the production. Overall it was obvious that
the audience thoroughly enjoyed the show.
