JOSIE SHINGLES
A bright show full
of colour and energy, beautiful singing and great acting.
The fine orchestra played the Cole Porter score to perfection with each
note a joy to the ears.
Choreography was excellent with some great movement, especially the chorus
numbers; I Sing of Love, Were Thine that Special Face, We Open in Venice
and the finale for Act 1.
A magnificent Fred/Petruchio had fantastic chemistry with his Lilli/Katherine,
who was perfectly cast. Lois/Bianca was an excellent dancer and sang her
solo well and Hattie performed the opening number with great gusto.
The two gangsters stole the show as always and were hilarious, milking
the applause for all it was worth! Overall, the chorus were wonderful
with great energetic stylish movement and beautiful harmonious singing.
The costumes were lavish, colourful and looked great.
Lighting was excellent and sound quality clear as a bell.
