The Society was founded in 1937 and has produced many well known musicals, to the delight of our audiences. The Society presents two shows a year, usually in May and November, with full orchestra, scenery, lighting and costumes. For information about our 2007 70th anniversary, please click here. We employ a professional or semi-professional Producer and Musical Director for each show. We have a regular Stage Manager and backstage crew who are very much a part of the WOS team (and many of whom also appear regularly on stage with The Chameleons). Our productions usually take place at the Winston Churchill Theatre, Ruislip. The theatre seats 300 people and is set in its own attractive grounds, which provide the perfect setting for a good evening's entertainment. To be kept informed on all forthcoming WOS productions and ticket availability, please contact us. The Society is a friendly group and new members will be sure of a warm welcome. The social aspect is very important; we hold a number of social events during the year including barbecues, a Dinner & Dance, an annual Supper Quiz and theatre visits. If you like singing, dancing or acting, or just want to see what happens the other side of the curtain, why not think about joining us.
